Regulators who oversee child care, however, don't see it as charity. Days after the start of the new school year, Snyder received a letter from the Michigan Department of Human Services warning her that if she continued, she'd be violating a law aimed at the operators of unlicensed day care centers.
Under state law, no one may care for unrelated children in their home for more than four weeks each calendar year unless they are licensed day-care providers. Snyder said she stopped watching the other children immediately after receiving the letter, which was well within the four-week period. and not only in mich..but other states as well...In California, specific rules are in place for anyone who cares for children out of their own home. Your home could be considered a "family childcare home" by the state of California, depending upon the number of children you're caring for and their relationship(s) to you. Violations of these rules make you subject to accumulated daily fines and, in some cases, criminal charges.
this is unbelievable...when I was growing up all the moms in the neighborhood looked after each others children to keep them SAFE!!
and they wonder why there are soo many predators harming children..for christs sake..what is this world coming to???"I applaud the lady who takes in her neighbors' kids while they're waiting for the bus. She's enabling her peers to go to work and get a paycheck. The state should be thankful for that." I too applaud her for taking the time to make sure her children as well as her friends and neighbors children are SAFE I wish i'd had someone to make sure my daughter was safe then I might still have her with me..so..just because someone has a childcare license, they are safer then the mothers who also have children..from what i've read and heard some of these childcare givers most of whom dont have any children of there own, are pretty evil..and the reason they do childcare is because they can't have children or don't want the responsibility of children of there own..IE foster parents..OH don't get me started....not to say all foster parents are out for the money..there are some honest loving foster parents out there so I guess parents no longer have any say in how their children are raised,I.E. discipline and what medications we want them to take and what schools they can go to etc...anyways what are your thoughts on this??? let me know..THANKS
